No adopted by french army.
The first adopted was the F1 from SFM in 1982:

Later, by the end of the 80's, the F2 from Le Mans (without headstamp) was adopted.

Esattamente la versione cromata e color avorio alle quali facevo riferimento io nel riportare il racconto avuto dal militare francese e dai ritrovamenti sul terreno oggetto delle esercitazioni. Ma c'erano anche quelle gialle e fucsia, che evidentemente sono state distribuite per l'addestramento....

Exactly the chrome and ivory to which I referred to in reporting the story I got from the French soldier and the findings on the firing test ground. But there were also those yellow and fuchsia, which evidently have been distributed for training ....
