Re: Aiuto per filetti del 910
Hello,
the fuze thread of the mod. 906 fuze is not a Withworth thread but the thread of the innesco could be of Withworth type (BSW) I think. Withwort threads have an angle of 55°. The thread of the mod.906 fuze goes in direction of 70 degrees so it's "speciale" :-). The Withworth thread have a very pointed shape whilst the Mod. 906 fuze has a very blunt thread shape. Fuze threads often have angles >55/60° because such threads are tougher against damage. The threads of a original 55° Withworth are very easy bent when the fuze falls to the ground.
Regards, Stefan

Hello Stefan,
we talk about 1910 fuze. Maybe there was a misunderstanding?

Re: Aiuto per filetti del 910
I made some pictures to explain:
The mod. 910 has an (italian style, or german Krupp style) imperial thread of:
25 mm x 1/11" 70°(angolo di profilo) <---meassurements without warranty
A Withworth thread has always 55° angolo di profilo. For Withworth threads and British Standard Withworth (BSW) threads and most other standardized threads the angle is skipped in the designation because it is well known.
German fuze threads of this time had the same mixture of metrical diameter and imperial thread pitch and sometimes angles different than 55°.
